Since the late 90's VoIP has been tomorrows technology. In early 2004 the emergence of SIP, a unifying technology, evolved VoIP into a today's technology. SIP is a system for finding and connecting to other SIP enabled iPhones and iPBXs, once connected it then negotiates one of the many VoIP options and sets up the call. This technology is transforming telecommunications and BT have indicated that by 2007 75% of Voice calls will be over VoIP systems and 100% by 2010.
SwitchVOX is the only iPBX we sell because it is one of the few products that is mature enough, feature rich and very stable.
LondonCode has moved to a almost pure VoIP phone system based around SwitchVOX in all our main offices over the last year and it has vastly changed the shape and communication within our business. We have complete flexibility over our voice menu systems, call queue groups, extension features and location, queue monitoring, call parking, music on hold, detailed incoming and outgoing call logging and more. We are now able to communicate and divert calls between offices without incurring further charges or using additional expensive BT lines.
Connecting remote teleworkers and offices to our in-house phone system, enables remote offices to make and receive calls as if they were in the main office. And of course, the cost of calls has been slashed with inter office calls reduced to 0ppm*. Calls that leave the net and go onto the normal phone system are as cheap as 1ppm* 24x7. You charge an account on a prepay basis with from 5£ to 100£ and no use it or loose it expiry. We charge our accounts with 50£ automatically when the credit drops to 1£, which isn't very often. If you have several providers you can configure which calls are to be placed over which provider and provide resilience in case of provider failure.
